You can also speak with different national genetic counseling professional organizations to find out more general information about the profession.

Prospective Genetic Counselor Student Fair Agenda

September 24, 2026

  • 11:00 – 11:45 am CT: Welcome & General Information Session presented by the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and Genetic Counselor Educators Association (GCEA)
  • 11:45 am – 12:00 pm CT: Break
  • 12:00 – 12:45 pm CT: Student Experience Panel hosted in partnership with the NSGC Student/New Grad Special Interest Group (SIG)
  • 12:45 – 1:00 pm CT: Break
  • 1:00 – 3:00 pm CT: Visit with participating Genetic Counseling Training Programs

Each program or organization will host their own Zoom Room. You are welcome to visit as many programs as you would like during the two hours the program rooms are open from 1:00 – 3:00 pm CT. Genetic counseling training programs will have representatives from their programs available to share more information about their program and answer your specific questions about the institution’s genetic counseling training program and admissions process. Come prepared to network and ask questions!
